Annual General Meeting

The Arts Dyslexia Trust's 2011 Annual General Meeting took place on Sunday 11th September 2011 at 2.30pm at Wye in Kent. Below is the Chairman's report summarizing the events of the year:

In view of the general economic circumstances it was felt that we should try to forge links with other groups whose aims our compatible with ours, so as to increase the chances of acquiring funds. This policy has already borne fruit.

‘3D thinkers in a 2D world’ & ‘A Benedictionary’

Benedict Phillips invites you to two free and special events on the 27th July in London.

The Dyslexic Boy Failed By The System

The ADT has become aware of a disturbing story. A south London 10 year old boy who has been identified as "severely dyslexic" has been prevented from gaining appropriate educational help by an uncooperative council. The full story can be read HERE at the London Evening Standard website

Dyslexia in the life and work of a dancer.

I am looking for professional dancers who have been diagnosed with dyslexia and would like to take part in a research project.

The project aims at identifying which are the implications of dyslexia in the life and work of the professional dancer so alternative strategies can be designed and shared.

The project will take place in Brighton during March 09. Closing date for applications 31 dec 2008

The 3D aspect of visual cognitive processing

The Arts Dyslexia Trust has had twenty years recorded history of successful mediation in promoting the career and learning opportunities of talented dyslexics, both individually and as a particular section of the population, which is in great need of recognition and support.
